1 DEAD, 2 HURT IN BULACAN BOULDER CRASH
SANTA MARIA, Bulacan—A three-year old boy died and two of his relatives were injured when a boulder crashed into their house in Barangay San Jose Patag in this town Friday.
Supt. Carl Omar Fiel, Santa Maria police chief, identified the fatality as Leonard Dorimon Jr. and the injured as Teresita, 60; and Andrea, 8, both surnamed Auditor.
The elder Dorimon, father of the fatality, told police investigators that he was outside his house that was located inside a former quarry site in the said barangay, when a big boulder rolled down and slammed his house, pinning down his mother-in-law Teresita, nephew (Andrea) and his son inside the house.
Fiel said the incident took place at around 3 p.m.
Rescuers from the Santa Maria police station, Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bulacan Rescue Team were able to pull out the injured Teresita and Andrea.
They were taken first to the Caboco Hospital and later transferred to the Rogaciano Mercado Memorial Hospital in Santa Maria.
“Teresita is conscious but still under observation while Andrea is now in stable condition," Fiel said.
On the other hand, the body of Dorimon Jr. was retrieved around 4:14 a.m. on Saturday. (PNA)
