LAS PIÑAS – Some 240 individuals from various parts of Las Piñas completed the livelihood training on cosmetology offered by the local government.
The training on cosmetology is part of the sustainable livelihood trainings sponsored by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) aimed at empowering women and teaching them to become successful entrepreneurs.
Businesswoman April Aguilar who represented her mother, Las Piñas Mayor Imelda Aguilar, at the graduation ceremony held at Verdant Court in Barangay Pamplona Tres, is a strong advocate of entrepreneurship for women. She encouraged the new graduates to become entrepreneurs.
Councilor Mark Santos, Brgy. Manuyo 2 chief Mark Nery, and City Social Welfare and Development Officer Junet Barilla witnessed the event as well.

Reachers and administrators performed song and dance numbers that warmed the hearts of the audience during the occasion that also served as the Christmas party of Las Piñas educators.
Aguilar, who was once a school teacher, said she has a soft spot in her heart for the teachers. She said, “once a teacher, always a teacher.”
