3 SLAIN, 7 NABBED IN BULACAN ANTI-DRUG OPS
CAMP GEN. ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan -- Three drug pushers were killed while seven others were arrested in separate buy-bust operations conducted by Bulacan police on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Col. Chito Bersaluna, director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, identified the fatalities as Jestoni Macandog and Kristoffer Jess Policarpio, both neutralized in a drug sting in the City of San Jose Del Monte, and Jose Orlando Santos, who was killed in a drug operation in Pulilan town.
Lt. Col. Orlando Castil Jr., chief of police of the City of San Jose Del Monte, said his men were able to recover from the two slain suspects 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, two .38-caliber revolvers and the buy-bust money used in the operation.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Pulilan Police Drug Enforcement Unit recovered from Santos three plastic sachets of suspected shabu, four pieces medium heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and one .38-caliber revolver.
Bersaluna also said that the seven other drug suspects were arrested during buy-bust operations conducted by Baliwag, Balagtas, and Santa Maria police stations.
They were identified as Teresita Polintan and Mirinda Cortez, both included in the drug watch list of Baliwag Municipal Police Station; Hansel Morales, Danilo Santos, Angelo Anicete, Brian Mateo, and Crisanto Torbeles.
Seized from them were 11 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, 22 pieces of zip-lock bag containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints against them are now being prepared for filing in court. (PNA)
