BACOLOD CITY -- Four persons were arrested by police operatives in a buy-bust inside a lodging house in Barangay 1 at San Carlos City, Negros Occidental early Wednesday.
Police identified the suspects as Junrie Pilapil, 29, a high-value target drug personality; Felix Marlo, 28; Wilbert Dopio, 26; and Maria Suzith Borato, 18.
Pilapil’s three companions were considered as street level targets.
The operation, conducted around 1:10 a.m. at Leo Gem Lodging House, was led by Senior Insp. Mark Angelo Junco, deputy chief of San Carlos City Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Western Visayas.
A police poseur buyer was able to purchase a small sachet of suspected shabu from Pilapil for PHP300 that led to the arrest of the four suspects and the recovery of about two grams of the same substance worth PHP24,000.
Pilapil also yielded five elongated sachets and one medium sachet of suspected shabu as well as some drug paraphernalia.
Both Paras and Dopio were found with aluminum foils and disposable lighters.
In the past months, anti-drug operatives have arrested several suspects during operations in various lodging houses in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City.
In Kabankalan City, two suspects were arrested in a buy-bust at AHS Pension House in Barangay 9 in August while another suspect was also apprehended at RGA Pension House in Barangay 4 in October.
In September, a buy-bust operation yielded more than PHP1 million worth of shabu at Rio Bella Pension House on Lacson Extension, Bacolod City. (PNA)
