CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – At least four persons being sought by law enforcers were arrested during separate manhunt operations conducted Monday by police in the region.
Chief Supt. Joel Coronel, Police Regional Office-3 (PRO3) director, on Tuesday identified the suspects as Marivic Punzalan, Freddie Rodriguez, Edilberto Pacun Sr., and Virginia Valdez, all have pending warrants of arrest.
Punzalan, who is No. 4 most wanted person in Sto. Tomas, Pampanga was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Judge Robert Alexander R. Malig of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 45, City of San Fernando, Pampanga for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Rodriguez, who ranked no. 7 most wanted person in Mexico, Pampanga was nabbed for violation of RA 10883 (carnapping) with recommended bail of PHP300,000.
Facun, the No. 8 most wanted person of Gerona Municipal Police Station, was arrested for serious physical injuries with recommended bail of PHP30,000.
Valdez, on the other hand, is No. 10 most wanted in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, and was arrested for theft with recommended bail of PHP20,000.
“The Central Luzon police will go on conducting manhunt operations to account for and arrest all wanted persons in the region,” Coronel said. (PNA)
