700 MRT PASSENGERS WALK FOR 3 KMS

Around 700 passengers of Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT3) walked for at least 3 kilometers on Wednesday morning when the train suddenly stopped.

According to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the train experienced electrical failure around 8 AM.

Based on the agency's investigation, the problem was in the train's motor which had "worn-out electrical sub-components such as main chopper, regulator, and insulator."

The passengers rode the next train which arrived after 8 minutes.
