CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S. SANTOS, Bulacan --- Eight suspected drug pushers were arrested Monday as a result of the relentless campaign against illegal drugs in this province.
Col. Chito G. Bersaluna, provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said on Tuesday that the suspects were nabbed in separate buy-bust operations in the towns of Bocaue, Pulilan, Marilao and Baliwag.
He identified the arrested suspects as Danny Bonsobre, Jennilyn Quilao, Jobert Quilao, Leonardo Enriquez, Joshua Mirante, Armando Ubaldo, Frederick Gonzales and Ernesto Nalaunan.
“The arrested suspects are known drug pushers. In fact, some of them are listed in the drug watch list in their respective areas and are involved in the rampant selling of illegal drugs,” Bersaluna said.
Confiscated from the suspects were a total of 16 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, two packs of dried marijuana leaves and buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and seized pieces of evidence were brought to Bulacan Crime Laboratory Office for appropriate examination.
Criminal charges against the suspects, on the other hand, are now being prepared for filing in court.
“The Bulacan police will not let up in its intensified war against illegal drugs,” he added. (PNA)
