ACCENTURE OFFERS MORE JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR ILOCANOS
LAOAG CITY — Ilocano jobseekers may find their dream jobs near the comfort of their homes as a multinational business process outsourcing (BPO) company will conduct a special recruitment activity on Friday.
Ann Marie Lizette Bitacor-Atuan, head of the Provincial Public Employment Service Office, said at least 250 slots are up for grabs courtesy of Accenture.
“We are inviting applicants to come at the capitol tomorrow for a special recruitment activity. Accenture is looking for accounting, finance and business-related course graduates,” she said in an interview Thursday.
Since 2015, Accenture’s delivery center in Ilocos has been hiring and training people in the province, including graduating students and experienced professionals, to provide health and finance administration for the company’s global clients across Europe and North America.
A year later or on March 4, 2016, Accenture inaugurated its three-story building located at the Valdez Center in San Nicolas, a business-friendly municipality in between the cities of Laoag and Batac.
Meanwhile, Atuan attributed the increase in the number of employment opportunities in Ilocos Norte to various job fairs, tech-voc trainings, livelihood and self-employment assistance, and cash-for-work programs being offered both by government and private institutions. (PNA)
