‘ARAW NG DABAW’ LGBT VOLLEYBALL TILT KICKS OFF MARCH 3

DAVAO CITY – Ten teams will see action in the "Araw ng Dabaw" Rainbow Volleyball League, which will kick off on March 3 at the Davao City National High School covered court.

“This is a sports tournament for the members of our LGBT community,” said Mohmad Ali Bernan Jr., organizer of the sports event in celebration of the 82nd founding of Davao City.

The games will be played on March 9, 10 and 23. The finals will be held on March 24.

“This is in commemoration of their experience of discovery, self-acceptance, openness, and honesty about their sexual preference and personal identity as active and productive members of our communities,” Bernan said.

The teams will be divided into two divisions with the top two teams to advance to the semi-finals. The A1 to play B2 while A2 to collide with B1.

The winners will advance to the finals. Cash prizes will be at stake for the winners. (PNA)
