CABRERA-EDSA FOOTBRIDGE CLOSED ON SAFETY WOES
PASAY CITY – The Cabrera-EDSA footbridge has been closed to pedestrians on safety issues, the Pasay City government announced.
In its advisory, the local government said the bridge’s closure was prompted by “the possible danger posed by debris falling from the bridge.”
The city council has already coordinated with the Department of Public Works and Highways and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, motorists should brace for heavy traffic as “a leaking water pipe” have affected the traffic situation on two lanes of EDSA-R. Rodriguez Street Northbound going to Makati City.
“Further, the public is advised that scaffoldings along Taft Avenue may cause heavy traffic as some column posts and beams of the LRT are currently being repaired,” it said.
