CATHOLICS HONOR PALM SUNDAY
Catholic devotees waved their palaspas or palm fronds on Palm Sunday which marked the last Sunday of the Lenten season and the start of the Holy Week.
During this day, Catholic churches celebrate what they believed Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem by doing a reenactment.
Devotees believed that the palm fronds which the priest had sprinkled with holy water could ward off evil spirits.
