DAVAO CITY- Leading developer in Visayas and Mindanao Cebu Landmasters Inc (CLI) in partnership with YHEST Realty of the Yuson, Huang and Tan families  recently launched the first phase of the P33 billion Davao Global Township (DGT).

The P33 billion DGT, which will soon rise in a 22 hectare golf course is considered a landmark project at the Matina District, which is one of the densest residential areas of the city.

The Phase 1 of DGT is estimated to cost P10 billion that will cover 93,000 square meters of gross floor area as envisioned by YHEST with masterplanner RTKL, a global planning design firm. DGT Phase 1 comprises of a corporate center, two premier residential towers, a retail strip with a Cineplex, and outdoor retail spaces called the DGT Town Strip and a civic center to be named DGT Gallery.

Envisioned to be the future business district inspired by the Cebu IT Park and Bonifacio Global Center (BGC), the project is expected to host business process outsourcing and other firms.

“These are exciting times for Davao and the Philippines as this tie-up ushers a new generation of local homegrown developers ready to be at par with the best of the world,” said Frederick Yuson, YHEST president.

Jose Franco B. Soberano, CLI director and chief operating officer assured that everything is planned and designed for maximum sustainability as 40% of the development will be dedicated to open spaces and 60% for development area. A park will be the centrepiece also of the development.

Jose R. Soberano III, chairman and president and CEO of Cebu Landmasters Inc and chairman of YHEST told media during the launching of the Phase 1 of the project that this is one project with welcoming features that promises best comfort from power to water and addresses flooding to traffic problems in the city.

He said this is one project that they will be looking into develop in 15 years and will really has an impact to the community.

“This is a real addition to Davao City and this can only happen with all the convictions that we will be putting together in terms of sustainability,” he said.

He said they envisioned DGT to be the central business district with a dynamic lifestyle that will provide economic and social value to Davao City.

DGT is CLI’s third and biggest project with YHEST Realty. Their first condominium project Messa Tierra is already 98% sold out and The Paragon Davao, a mixed-use property that will host Citadines Paragon Davao that was launched last year has a residential component One Paragon Place is already 75% sold in first three weeks of selling.
