Oil has been spilled on the waters of Zambales today, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 3 confirmed.
The vessel in this alleged sea damage is known to be from Singapore – and has been staying in Philippine waters since March 30. DENR Region 3 said that the papers of the vessel is registered in Tanzania.
As of this writing, DENR confirmed that the whole, eight crew, including the captain, are Chinese nationals. The department noted that the vessel was used in a dredging activity in Olongapo City before it sailed to Botolan.
DENR, with the local authorities is still investigating further of the incident.
