CHRISTMAS PACKAGE AWAITS TAGUIG RESIDENTS
TAGUIG CITY – Residents of Taguig City will receive a Christmas package from the local government to bring cheers this season of giving.
Each resident will receive packs of spaghetti and spaghetti sauce, a can of fruit cocktail, a box of cheese, and other goodies to celebrate the holidays.
Taguig City Mayor Laarni Cayetano led the distribution of 30,000 noche buena packs on the first day of Pamaskong Handog.
These items were given to beneficiaries in various areas across Fort Bonifacio, Pinagsama and North Signal Village.
The Christmas gift-giving is scheduled to go around all the barangays of the probinsyudad, a small token for the love residents have given Taguig City in the past year.
The initiative is part of the city government’s commitment of making the Yuletide season for Taguig City residents a little more special.
Earlier, Cayetano visited fire victims in the city and distributed financial assistance, family food packs, kumot, banig and hygiene kits.
The city mayor expressed her gratitude to members of Bureau of Fire Protection – Taguig, as well as firefighters and volunteers from neighboring cities for their prompt response to the incident.
She also thanked City Social Welfare and Development Office, Barangay Affairs Office, and other barangay officials for extending assistance to affected families.
