CITY GOV’T SEARCHES FOR 15 OUTSTANDING WOMEN
THE Iloilo City Government is looking for nominees in its yearly search for The Outstanding Women of Iloilo City (TOWIL) in line with the celebration of National Women’s Month this March.
Mayor Jose Espinosa III said the award aims to give due recognition to women who have showed exemplary performances in their respective particular field of profession that significantly contributed to Iloilo City’s development.
Interested applicants should submit fully accomplished nomination form write-up on or before Feb.15, 2019 at City Population Office at 5th floor of City Hall.
The presentation of write-up should be in order of significance and complete with description or justifications and documentations.
The search is open to all women of legal age, who have made a major impact or contribution and has given pride and honor to Iloilo City, and must be a member or officer of an organization or a person who has made significant accomplishments in a particular field of endeavor that contributed to the welfare and upliftment of status of women in particular and in the promotion of a gender fair society in general.
There are 15 categories namely: Judicial Services; Culture and Arts; Persons with disability; Math, Science and Technology; Protective Services; Business; Religious Services; Media; Professional Services; Government Services; Academe; Philanthropic Works; Volunteerism and Community Services; Sports; and Medical Services.
The winners will be announced 10 calendar days before the awarding ceremony set on March 22 at Robinsons Place. (Iloilo City PIO)
