EDSA SHOOT-OUT LEAVES 2 DEAD, 1 INJURED
MANILA -- Two men were shot down to death on the southbound lane of EDSA-Reliance on Sunday afternoon, the police reported.
Two suspects on board of a black motorcycle shot the victims. The victims who were on board of a white van with a woman, Mandaluyong police chief Senior Supt. Moises Villaceran, Jr. said.
The 2 fatalities, one of whom was a businessman, succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, Villaceran added.
The victims' female companion survived the gun attack after being rushed to the VRP Medical Center.
The group, he said, came from a race track in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The shooting incident temporarily occupied 2 lanes in EDSA, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority updated in its Twitter account.
Police were still investigating the motive of the incident and looking for surveillance footage of the crime.
