The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Cebu will give a plantilla or permanent service in the government to those Job Order (JO) employees who excel in the implementation of the Family Planning Program of the province, according to a report from the PIA.
In the Regional Dissemination Forum on Sustaining Family Planning Innovations through Transfer of Technology recently held in Cebu, Dr. Rene Catan Cebu Provincial Health Officer said that this will be given as incentive to those JOs who are performing well in the Family Planning Program of the province.
“This is in a form of incentivizing, for our non-permanent employees who are performing well with the target of 80% performance rate in the Family Planning Program,” Catan said.
He added that as of now there are 50-55 JOs in the province of Cebu functioning as Family Planning Coordinators.
Catan revealed that there will be four (4) JOs who will be granted a permanent plantilla this year.
“They are nursing aides and midwives with no permanent position but are performing well. This will be based on their performance and not the length of service, because there are some who are already in the service for many years but are not doing their job well, so this is really a performance based incentive and at the same time increasing the performance rate of our Family Planning Program,” he stressed.
The Cebu PHO is doing this to recognize the efforts of those non-permanent personnel who have been doing their best in the implementation of the Family Planning program of the government.
