MUNTINLUPA CITY – The Muntinlupa City government has committed to continuously support budding entrepreneurs in the city through a zero-interest loan assistance program.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi led the distribution of the financial assistance to 92 entrepreneurs worth P1.5 million.
The city council, in partnership with the Gender and Development Office, gave loan assistance to these beneficiaries amounting to P3,000-P75,000 each.
In December last year, the local government reported that it earmarked P4.2 million to provide capital to all would-be entrepreneurs in the city.
This, after receiving the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit for the second time around.
President Rodrigo Duterte handed the award to Muntinlupa City Jaime Fresnedi during the 44th Philippine Business Conference Expo of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) held at Manila Hotel.
The city was lauded due to its commendable efforts in adopting innovative best practices in good governance, partnership with the private sector benefiting business community and citizenry.”
Fresnedi has attributed the recognition to one of his directives aimed at making the city friendly to businessmen.
