DUMAGUETE CITY -- An alleged drug pusher tagged as a “high-value target” was arrested late Friday afternoon during an entrapment operation by a joint team of anti-illegal drugs operatives at Barangay Mangnao in this city.
A report from the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) identified the suspect as Rogen Devivar Destor, of legal age, a resident of Barangay Looc here.
During the entrapment operation, the authorities seized from the suspect three pieces medium-sized transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 15 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of PHP100,000.
Destor allegedly delivered the suspected shabu around 5 p.m. to an undercover operative at Purok Dagitab in Barangay Mangnao.
The police said Destor is suspected to be a member of the Carmenza Delna alias Kamaru Drug Group.
Col. Gregorio Galsim, Dumaguete City police chief, confirmed the group operates in the city.
The team included operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, the Dumaguete City Police Station, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Oriental and the Provincial Intelligence Group-Special Operating Group.
The suspect is now detained and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. (PNA)
