KIDAPAWAN ‘FARMER’ YIELDS 18 SACHETS OF ‘SHABU’
KIDAPAWAN CITY — Police here arrested a suspected drug peddler and seized 18 sachets of “shabu” from him during a pre-dawn law enforcement operation Sunday.
Supt. Ramil Hojilla, Kidapawan City police director, said the raid on a house along Sinsuat Street was launched after weeks of surveillance operations against Afghan Bualan, 35, a farmer.
“The suspect did not resist arrest, Hojilla said, adding the authorities were armed with a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 17 for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Recovered from Bualan’s home were 18 sachets of various sizes that contained shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia. Bualan is currently detained at the Kidapawan City lockup cell while appropriate charges are being readied against him.
Police said Bualan was a high-value target. (PNA)
