MAN ATTACKED BY FATHER-IN-LAW WITH BUTCHER BLADE IN ILOCOS NORTE



LAOAG CITY - A man was attacked by his father-in-law with a butcher blade after the latter tried to intervene a heated conversation.

Police Chief Inspector Arnel Tabaog, the chief of police of Banna, Ilocos Norte confirmed the incident which happened at Barangay Balioeg of the said town.

The victim, Angelo Bella, who is from Lapaz, Abra said that the suspect is Luis Sacayanan, his father-in-law of Barangay Balioeg, Banna.

According to Tabaog, the victim was drunk when he and Charmaine, his wife fought. He then threatened to leave and go back to Abra.

With their loud fight, the father of Charmaine heard and was awoken, and went over to stop the quarrel. Sacayanan tried to stop Bella which resulted into a fight, leading him to charged Bella with a butcher blade.

According to police reports, the victim received multiple wounds above the ear, two by the hands and on his abdomen.

As of now, no settlement between the victim and the father-in-law was being discussed.
