MANILA BAY POLLUTERS CITED BY LLDA



The Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA) has cited 20 establishments in Pasay and Manila who were found discharging their wastewater to Manila Bay.

 

Based on the laboratory analysis and inspection operation recently conducted by the LLDA, these establishments have violated the Philippine Clean Water Act of 2004 (RA 9275). Five (5) of these establishments were issued with cease and desist orders (CDOs), 12 with notices of violations (NOVs), and three (3) with ex-parte orders.

 

Among the violators are Jollibee Foods Corp. in Macapagal Blvd., Pasay; Cultural Center of the Philippines; Lamer Catering in Malate, Manila; and Max Restaurant in Ermita, Manila.

 

To date, 63 establishments have been issued with violation citations since the launching of the Manila Bay Rehabilitation on January 27, 2019. (DENR FB POST)
