MUNTINLUPA CITY – The local government wants students of Muntinlupa City to get ahead in life by providing several opportunities which they can avail after graduation, a report by Manila Bulletin said.

To be launched this week, the city council and Edukasyon.ph partnered to open a two-day education fair called Muntinlupa TNK Expo, which stands for Trabaho, Negosyo, Kolehiyo, wherein senior high school students can learn more about the schools, courses, businesses, and scholarship options for them.

The expo will feature local schools including Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, Colegio de Muntinlupa, and Muntinlupa Technical Institute.

Aside from that, it will also feature guest speakers for the students such as Chuks Arias, founder of Pinaywrites.com; Muntinlupa Mayor Jaime Fresnedi; Alvin Feron of the Muntinlupa Scholarship Office; Jeanette Salvilla, an entrepreneur and owner of boutique store Fashionology; and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) director Dominique Rubia-Tutay.

The expo, to be held at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex, is open to both private and public school students of the city. This is free of charge.

“We are grateful to partner with the Muntinlupa government in giving students more options after senior high school. Through this expo, we hope to empower students in terms of helping them choose the right options for themselves, such as giving them opportunities to pursue a college education, and preparing them for the right career after graduation,” Edukasyon.ph Chief Executive Officer Henry Motte-Muñoz said.

The expo was mounted with the help of the Department of Education (DepEd), the Public Service Employment Office (PESO), the Gender and Development Office of the Muntinlupa City Government, Muntinlupa district representative Rozzano Rufino “Ruffy” Biazon; and Catherine Mary “Trina” Biazon from the city’s Gender and Development Office.
