MUNTINLUPA TO GIVE P5,000 VOUCHER TO SENIOR HS GRADS
MUNTINLUPA CITY – The Muntinlupa City government are set to distribute P5,000 vouchers as educational assistance for senior high school graduates of the city.
Muntinlupa City Mayor Jaime Fresnedi congratulated the graduates and announced the incentives during a completion rites at Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Brgy. Tunasan.
Fresnedi said this would help senior high school graduates jump-start their college as it places a prime importance in the education of its residents.
The overall top 10 students of graduating class in elementary, junior and senior high schools will also receive cash incentives.
Muntinlupa Scholarship Program will announce the schedule of distribution of cash incentives for the brightest students in the city.
Meanwhile, the local government, through the Public Employment Service Office, has started the Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) that will run for 20 days.
SPES is an employment bridging program aimed to help poor but deserving students, OSY and children of displaced workers aged 15-25 years old who intend to finish their studies.
The program, which will end on May 2, intends to help the student beneficiaries to pursue their education in the next semester as well as teach them the value of work.
During the orientation, the students will be informed of their task and duties. They will also be given a Life Skills Training that aims to impart to them the very important soft skills or attitude and Behavior that is important to the world of work.
This is a continuing program of the City Government, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
