Mayor Abby Binay congratulated the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) for its continued efforts to make the city-run facility smoke-free.

 OsMak received the White Orchid Award from the Department of Health (DOH), which is a step closer to Makati's goal of having a 100% Tobacco-Free Environment.

The award was received by Dr. Vergel P. Binay, OsMak Hospital Director and Dr. Lualhati Macalintal, Smoking Cessation Committee Chair.

The Red Orchid Award is a prestigious award given by the DOH to government hospitals, government offices, and education facilities.

The awarding ceremony has three categories. First is the White Orchid Award, followed by the Pink Orchid. The Red Orchid Award is the highest recognition given by the DOH.

Mayor Abby said OsMak will continue to strive for Red Orchid status next year.
