PALACE HAILS MANDALUYONG FOR MAKING CITY CHILD-FRIENDLY
MANDALUYONG CITY – Malacañang lauded the Mandaluyong City government for being one of the child-friendly cities and municipalities in the Philippines.
President Rodrigo Duterte conferred the 2017 Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Municipalities and Cities (PACFMC) during the awarding ceremony held at Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace.
Mandaluyong City Mayor Carmelita Abalos expressed her gratitude to the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) for its dedication to make the city a child-friendly place.
Earlier, the Mandaluyong City government joined the celebration of Education Week which kicked off during the city council’s flag raising ceremony.
The local government recognized the 2018 Outstanding Educators, recent achievements of Mandaluyong students in various fields and competitions, and successful graduates of its senior high school programs.
It also led the oathtaking of Samahan ng Magkakapitbahay ng MRR Track Barangka Ibaba officers led by Ernesto Delgado and Ages Association AAA (Addition Hills) officers headed by Ricardo dela Cruz.
The city council thanked the LCPC and all those who continue to support its initiatives for the benefit of Mandaluyong children.
