Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) forensic team confirmed that at least three people raped Christine Lee Silawan, the 16 year-old girl found dead in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

According to the forensic expert, the victim's parents asked the authorities to examine the her mutilated body parts and skinned face.

Based on the results, the suspects might have poured acid on Silawan’s face twice.

It is possible that the suspects poured acid and tore off her face after she already died, and second they poured the liquid again which was the reason for the burnt parts of her muscle’s forehead as well as her eyeballs),” said the PAO forensic expert.

Furthermore, Silawan’s neck was burnt too. The team has gathered evidence that the right hand was used to strangle the victim due to the fingerprint marks on her neck. Ligature marks were also found on her left wrist and neck that might indicate a one-centimeter string was used to strangle her. Aside from that her genital has extensive abrasion which caused it to bled.

So may bleeding po kaming nakita sa labas at sa loob ng kaniyang ari (When we examined her genital we found hematoma on the right side while we found three other hematomas on the left side. These were the evidence that she was raped, forcible because her veins were ruptured causing hematoma inside. So we found bleeding inside and out of her genital),” the authorities discovered.

PAO stressed that it was hard for just one person to the said activity because the victim’s hands and feet need to be restrained. (CHAY ALDAY/LEAGUE ONLINE NEWS)
