DAVAO CITY-  The regional office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 11) has warned the public against scammers who use the name of PDEA Regional Director Antonio Rivera to make money.

In a statement, on April 4, 2019, scammers victimized one of the offices here in Davao City by calling one of their staff that Rivera with companions, will visit their office. The caller also asked for a cell phone load worth P3,000.

The staff immediately went out for the load. After the load transaction was completed, the staff called the said number, however, it was already unattended. The staff called PDEA 11 office to confirm the where about of Rivera and found out that the PDEA regional director doesn’t have any commitment in the said office. The said office found out that they were victims of a scam.

PDEA 11 reiterated that the said office never asks nor solicits any cash or in kind as it is prohibited under the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. Such deceptive act, will not be tolerated by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

PDEA 11 is now conducting investigation to locate and determine the identity or identities of the person or persons using the name of Rivera and advised the public to give any information regarding such unscrupulous act and to report by texting or calling PDEA Hotline numbers at 09331481387 and 09395433405 or you may visit the office at Camp Capt. Domingo E Leonor, San Pedro Street, Davao City.
