MANILA — Phoenix is now just a win away from clinching a PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals berth with its 94-80 rout of Alaska at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay on Friday night.

The Fuel Masters pipped the Aces in the second half, limiting them to just 13 points in the third period.

Calvin Abueva scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, two assists, and one block for Phoenix, which tied with Rain Or Shine in first place at 7-1.

Matt Wright added 20 points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block.

Jeron Teng led Alaska, which dropped to 2-2, with 23 points, nine rebounds, and one block. (PNA)
