ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Capiz Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) approved measures to strengthen the local councils and the campaign for peace, security and development here.
In a recent joint PPOC and PDAC meeting presided by Capiz Governor Antonio Del Rosario, the councils respectively created the Provincial Audit Team (PAT) for the conduct of the 2017 Peace and Order Councils Performance Audit and the ADAC Provincial Audit Team (APT) for the 2017 Anti-Drug Abuse Councils Performance Audit.
The creation of the audit teams is in line with the directive of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) to ensure efficient performance of the local councils and the programs and activities being undertaken.
The PPOC’s audit team is chaired by Governor Del Rosario, who sits as the Council’s chairperson, with his designated alternate, with the representative from the DILG, Philippine National Police, Civil Society Organization (CSO) and one member of the PCO as determined by the governor as members.
The Anti-Drug Abuse Council audit team is chaired by the DILG provincial director with the members coming from the PNP, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and two CSOs.
On one hand, Del Rosario thanked the members of the Councils for their all-out support in the campaign to fight criminality, illegal drugs, insurgency and other illegal activities.
He also called on the public for support to ensure a peaceful and secured community for the development of the province. (PIA-Capiz)
