SIX MINDANAOAN BEAUTIES AMONG FINALISTS OF MISS TEEN PHILIPPINES 2019

Mindanao has its fair share of beauties and proof of this is the six young and beautiful teenagers from Northern and Southern Mindanao who made it to the national finals of the prestigious Miss Teen Philippines 2019 search.

 

Finalists from Northern Mindanao to the national level of Miss Teen Philippines 2019 are Francine Georgina Gamboa, a proud being the representative of the highland paradise in the heart of Mindanao – Bukidnon. Brand endorser, print ad model and beauty titlist Kamyll Migueyl Pla, a Humanities and Social Sciences senior high graduate at Corpus Christi School, where she was awarded Top 1 with highest honors; and Nikki de Moura from Cagayan de Oro who is half Brazilian but a Filipina by heart.

 

These candidates were selected after the regional finals held at SM Downtown, Cagayan de Oro on March 10.

 

Candidates from Southern Mindanao who made it to the national finals are Jamyla Diane B. Ampis, an 18 year-old Santa Cruzian from the province of Davao Del Sur and a proud member of the non-Muslim Indigenous People of Mindanao; Kayshia Joana Caliao Mondaga is from Panabo City who likes to connect to other people; and Heart Jastine Celo from Davao City who is a dancesports athlete and an illusionist's assistant in Magic shows.

They were selected through the Miss Teen Philippines regional finals held last February 16 at SM City Davao.

 

The candidates will vie for the title among other finalists from Central Visayas, Calabarzon, Western Visayas, National Capital Region, and Central Luzon.

 

Miss Teen Philippines, which is being revived this year after its four-year hiatus, serves as a launching pad for young girls who dream of becoming beauty queens and ambassadresses for education to help the youth.

 

The pageant, which promotes leadership, is open to teens aged 14 to 18 years old.

 

The first Miss Teen Philippines was in 2004 which won by a lad from Northern Mindanao, Stephanie Sol. In 2007, Maxine Monasterio, a candidate from the same region also won the title.
