SMOOTH TRANSITION OF POWER AT CITY HALL

THE Iloilo City Government transition team has turned over vital documents to the transition team of the incoming administration during a meeting at Iloilo City Hall, June 21.

Incoming chief of staff Jonas Antonio Bellosillo said the meeting of the two groups will ensure a smooth turnover of power between the administration of outgoing Mayor Jose Espinosa III and that of Mayor-elect Jerry P. Treñas.

The city’s transition team, headed by outgoing City Administrator Atty. Hernando Galvez, submitted the following:

-Governance Assessment Report Calendar Year (CY) 2018;

-Commission on Audit Report (CY 2018);

-Contracts and Loan Agreements;

-Comprehensive Development Plan;

-Local Development Investment Plan; Annual Investment Plan (CY 2018);

-Comprehensive Land Use or Physical Frameworks Plan; Capability Development Plan;

-Executive-Legislative Agenda; Organizational Structures; Inventory of Personnel by Nature of Appointment; and

-Executive Orders.

The transition team also turned over the Full Disclosure Policy documents such as:

-Annual Budget for CY 2019;

-Statement of Debt Service CY 2018;

-Statement of Receipts and Expenditures CY 2018;

-Annual Procurement Plan CY 2019;

-Annual GAD Plan Accomplishment Report CY 2018;

-Statement of Cash Flow First Quarter of CY 2019;

-Bid Results on Civil Works, Goods and Services, and Consulting Services of First Quarter of CY 2019;

-Report on Special Education Fund Utilization First Quarter of CY 2019;

-Trust Fund Utilization First Quarter of CY 2019;

-Manpower Complement First Quarter of CY 2019;

-Unqualified Cash Advances First Quarter of CY 2019;

-Supplemental Procurement Plan First Quarter of 2019;

-20% Component of the Internal Revenue Allotment Utilization First Quarter of CY 2019; and

-Report on Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management Fund Utilization First Quarter of 2019.

“I am reassuring you that Mayor Jose Espinosa III and I will be open if you ever need our help or if you have any questions to us,” Galvez said.

“If you want to clarify on some documents, responsible department heads will be open to answer that,” he added.

Incoming City Administrator Melchor Tan received the documents in behalf of Treñas.

“There were many documents given to us and I cannot peruse all of these at once. I will be turning over these documents to incoming Mayor Treñas so he can assign these documents to responsible people,” Tan said. (PIO)
