STILL NO WATER: MANILA WATER CRISIS UPDATE

Water sharing between concessioners is one of the solutions Manila Water Co., Inc. had come up to ease the water crisis in some areas within the metro.

In a radio interview, Jeric Sevilla head for corporate communications of Manila Water said and Maynilad Water Services Inc. had agreed to share waters for about 31 to 50 million liters per day. The concessioners expected to operationalize the agreement within the week.

Meanwhile, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III said that five hospitals in east zones are experiencing water interruptions which are Rizal Medical Center in Pasig; National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong; National Kidney and Transplant Institute; Philippine Children’s Medical Center and Quirino Memorial Medical Center, which are all located in Quezon City.
