TAGUIG BRINGS SMILE TO ELDERLY PEOPLE ON THEIR BIRTHDAY

TAGUIG CITY – The Taguig City government handed over cash gifts to senior citizens who celebrated their birthdays recently.

Taguig City Mayor Laarni Cayetano, accompanied by her husband Alan Peter Cayetano, and her brother-in-law Lino Cayetano, led the distribution on Wednesday and Thursday.

The event is part of the city's initiative to make our elders feel loved and their birthdays a little more special, as stipulated in City Ordinance No. 25, Series of 2017.

Under the local decree, elderly people aged 61 to 69 years old shall receive P3,000 each; those aged 70 to 79 shall get P4,000 each; and 80 to 89 years old, P5,000 each.

For those aged 90 to 99, the Taguig City council recently passed an ordinance increasing their birthday cash gift to P10,000 each.
