MARIKINA CITY – Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro has reassured that the local government will implement effective programs for residents.
Teodoro said he is ensuring that initiatives such as the repair of Teatro Marikina and Office for Senior Citizens’ Affairs (OSCA) building will be efficiently implemented.
Earlier, he and city hall employees visited these establishments located in Shoe Avenue corner V. Gomez Street in Brgy. Sta. Elena to monitor its progress.
Teatro Marikina is the place for live cultural performances and other events with a seating capacity of 1,100. It has hosted important events such as graduations, musical, dance and theatrical performances, art exhibits, seminars, among others.
On the other hand, the OSCA building caters to the needs of senior citizens in the city. Next to it is the Marikina City Library where people can do their research and review.
Teodoro said he has instructed city hall personnel to make sure that these projects are done successfully so that people will feel they can depend on the local government.
This is part of their efforts to strengthen the delivery of public services to every Marikina resident.
