IBA, Zambales — Some 200 members of the Zambales Provincial Police Office (ZPPO) on Wednesday underwent medical examination as part of the continuing effort of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in maintaining the health and wellness of its personnel.

Acting ZPPO director Senior Supt. Felix Astrero Verbo Jr. said the annual medical examination was given by PNP Regional Health Service 3 under the supervision of Senior Supt. Jezebel Medina.

Verbo said all police officers, particularly those who are 40 years old and above, were required to undergo standard medical examination procedures such as blood pressure check-up, chest X-ray, urinalysis, blood test, and dental check-up.

Medina said police officers who were found to have health problems were subjected to further medical treatment and monitoring.

“We want every policeman’s physical and mental health to be at the best condition. So that they are at their most fit condition when they respond to serve the community,” Verbo said. (PNA)
